I like the way you think!

Tired Eyes

I recently started listening to a Seattle band called Rose Windows.  They have an album out on Sub Pop.  I think they'd be a good opener for MMJ.

YES !!!! Agreed.  He would be a perfect fit.

I would also wouldn't mind Rival Sons.  That might be a better fit for the next MMJ Album thats gonna be a bit heavier and darker.

I have absolutely no inside information or details on the next album.  Just wishful thinking on my part.   Soak the fucker in heavy reverb and bake on high.

down with that too!

LD, Blucas and I saw Heartless Bastards in Flagstaff last night and I heartily concur they'd be a great opener for MMJ.  Their drummer was particularly good.  I really liked the simple arrangements and separation between the instruments.  Just little Vox amps for the guitars, pared down drum kit.  Reminded me of the Mother Hips a little bit, especially Heartless Bastards' drummer Dave Colvin.  The Mother Hips would also be good on the bill with MMJ, I'd think.

How about Saints of Valory?

Don't even joke about that, next you'll be calling for BoH.  To be honest they maybe the worst opener I have heard all year and I am not on the best of runs for openers this year for me.

Whippy, that's not even funny. Moon man is right in his assessment. I've passed gas that was more interesting than that band.

I'm a relatively new MMJ fan and thought Dr. Dog would be a great pairing, only to learn they toured together years ago. FML... I wish I had seen that tour.

I think The Dodo's would be another great pairing though. New album coming out in August and I think they are ready to take the leap to open for MMJ.

I saw one of those MMJ/Dr. Dog shows a very long time ago (2004?) and it was a very cool pairing, though Dr. Dog felt like a very different band then than they are now.  I mean that in a good way.
