Rolling Stone has had something about MMJ in their last 4-5 issues.  Whether it be articles (two of them) or in the review section where they have a little blurb called "Buy These Now."  They have had "Z" in the Buy These Now section for two straight issues and said that MMJ is making its case for Band of the Year!  Awesome!

Anybody disappointed no grammy nod for "Alternative Album of the Year"?  I was... :(

MMJ won't get Grammy noms because Mariah Carey needs more for her country home mantle... Great bands hardly get any recognition at the Grammys. If Brtiney Spears can win a Grammy, what exactly is its value? I would love it if Z won the Mercury Prize. The Grammys don't necessarily recognize musical achievement. Take Mariah for example. I think there's no denying that her voice is remarkable and when well used, it can be lovely. That said, Emancipation of Mimi is not innovative, culturally significant or especially fun. and it got 8 noms... The recognition from the Academy is nice, but I don't think it's a testament to the band's musical achievement.
everything sucks. really.

it's funny because while listening to the Bunbury show ('99), the DJ jokingly tell's Jim that he will need a story for the origin of the band name for Rolling Stone someday. haha. now Rolling Stone sweats their balls.

a Jammy is respectable.  like the term or not, most of the fans of "jam" like decent music.  well, DMB and OAR might give it a bad rap, but i'm just saying... :-/
