The description listed on the show page seems like it is strictly a show where a dj plays tunes.  There was no mention on live performances or interviews.  This show in particular is listed as his four favorites from 2005 (Amadou & Mariam, My Morning Jacket, Son Volt, Bill Frisell).  I assume he means new releases for 2005 and that he will play a sampling of songs from their respective CDs.
