Busting at the seams with 42 tracks on two discs, and featuring roots music in a dizzying array of styles (bluegrass, country, punk, soul...), this marvellous collection of Bloodshot's music is a not-so-subtle reminder of the beautiful and nebulous nuances that austere honest music can convey. To choose one standout track would be an unforgivable injustice as so many of these artists play that great shit that hits you hard and rattles you to your core.

That said, Cordero's Close Your House Down and My Morning Jacket's Behind That Locked Door are, all hyperbole aside, the music that until now I didn't know I was waiting my entire life to hear.
