But seein you feels good, and its always understood.
That anything much sweeter would make me die.

You guys, you can't argue. At Dawn is the best MMJ Album. Any opinions you guys have otherwise are okay to discuss in a thread called "Opinions concerning At Dawn being the best MMJ Album". However, the simple pure and true fact of At Dawn being the best MMJ Album is currently not up for debate.

Sorry.

You have obviously listened to TTF more than me, but have not listened to Z enough yet....

No Z in top three?  It cannot be!

I've listened to Z a lot, but I tend to only really listen to certain tracks now..... Anytime, Lay Low and Dondate....Doesn't mean I don't like the other tunes, just those one's stand out to me....Maybe Z will move up eventually.

Hi. Having had It Still Moves as my first exposure, Z is too far of a departure from the style I grew to add to my soul from ISM. I only like about half of Z.
I think AT Dawn starts out incredibly strong, but towards the end of the album, it kinda peters out for me- it is my # 2...
Tenn. Fire. is an great album, but much more bluegrass/less hardcore-a great indication of what was too come.
BUT,I think It Still Moves has had the longest, deepest impression on me. from start to finish, it is a masterpeice.

If Strangulation and I Needed it Most is petering out, then I hope their next album is entirely petered out.

I listened to Strangulation from an '01 show in Austin that George sent to me awhile back on the way to work this morning and I started crying.  I think this is either the 4th or 5th time that they have produced actual real tears.  I had this weird feeling, that I couldn't pin down.  It was like I wanted to cry, laugh and orgasm all at once.  Luckily, only the tears came out.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Ha! Yeah I know the feeling.

And why, may I ask, Dear Bermuda, is that "lucky"???

Anyhoo....this is a great thread because I have been listening ONLY to At Dawn for about 2 weeks now and absolutely LOVING, LOVING it.  I love The Way That He Sings but I'm dying to know what is the background chorus he's singing?????  I'm a little "slow" but it sounds like -
Nah he don't roam, roam
nah he don't roam
nah he don't roam, roam...

PLEASE take it easy on me for riding the special bus on this one, but PLEASE, please can someone tell me what he's singing?!?!?!

Well, it may have been a little dangerous is all I'm sayin'.   With my legs going straight and all. ;)

Good question on TWTHS.  I always thought of it as somewhat of a "wordless chorus" so to speak but now that you mention it, it does kind of sound like he don't roam or know maybe

"with your legs going straight"  ???  HA!!  I'm on the floor in my fffing cubicle right now!   :D :D :D  Yer killin me, dude!   So you don't know what he's saying??  Poo!  I REALLY want to know because he is singing something and they are words - maybe it is
now he don't know, know
now he don't know
now he don't know, know
now he don't know

Personally, I prefer "roam" because it makes me think he's a faithful man, whereas "know" makes me think he's a bit of an airhead.

i think he's sayin'

I ain't goin' roam roam
I ain't goin' roam
I ain't goin' roam roam

etc.

or...fill in the blank.  it's far more interesting to overlay your own words as they are being sung in that way.  kinda like the "eeeeeeedahdoo....eeeeedahdooo" at the end of "steam engine"...what's that shiznit, anyways?

Remember the thread about "What question you would ask Jim if you had a chance"  It would be the Steam Engine question.  My mission in life is to know what he's saying.  I realize it's like the Pulp Fiction attache' case and I would probably be dissapointed, but I don't care.  I want to know.

I always thought that was "Sea Island!  Sea Island Sea Island!"

Made me hungry for a "Sea Island Shrimphouse" seafood platter.

Nooooooo - I don't think that's what he's saying - do you really?  What's a shiznit?  Is that like a lice egg or something???  :P

I think you got it.

That looks just like the sound I make when I'm "singin'" along with this song... which just happens to be found on THE BEST MMJ ALBUM EVER!!!
Why's it surreal when my hands feel they cant roll the jay?

bo dereks tits

wrong.

Tennessee Fire is the best MMJ album.

End of Story.

The reason why At Dawn comes up a close second?

Honest Man.  It's a bit sub-par.
