I know you can get a replacement disc, and I know this is a tired subject, but I can't believe this wasn't even officially recalled from stores by Sony, after all that rootkit/Sunn Comm mess. Some people on another forum said they saw copies at Best Buy and Tower as late as this weekend......ridiculous! They figure they'll just keep selling to the unsuspecting. Greed.

I wasted about an 30 min today trying to remember how I first ripped my copy of z.

holding the ctrl key didn't work, and then i found the driver, disabled it, but then my comp. rebooted and I couldn't find it again after that.

I'm not asking for any help. It's just was very unfun trying to just simply listen to my copy on my computer.

I didn't know that any re-issues had been free of media max.

After losing everything on my old iPod, I had to buy this CD.  I got it through the BMG Music Service.  I was afraid I wouldn't be able to put it on my new iPod, cuz of the stupid copy-protection.  I was happy to find NO copy-protection on this disc, and had no problems!  So maybe they've put out new versions of the album without the software on it?  Or did I just get lucky?

Yeah, there's a new version minus the software......I was just saying I was surprised Sony didn't officially recall the other ones.....they just let them remain in stores to be bought next to the newer versions.  >:(

I bought a copy of Z on ebay which the seller claimed was an "early release" (although from the looks of it, it may be a burned copy)  anyway I've been reluctant to save it to any of my computers (work or home) because of the copy protection virus threat...although that might not be the case for my disc.

Hold Down shift when inserting into computer.  It keeps programs from loading.  Worked like a charm for me.

Didn't work like a charm for me last time. Worked on Windows 98 though.

I finally had to manually turn of every auto start. That finally got it.

God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

i'm having problems with my Z album, it has the software on it.  :-/
with the menu that pops up and the 'copy to PC' option, when i click it, it creates the files but they are all '0 bytes' meaning they are just blank, useless files with no music. i've tried this heaps of times but always with the same results.
argh, i want it on my computer!  :'(
...can anyone help me with this?
