Anyone else noticed this on the Okonokos CD?

Does Jim James's voice seem, well, slightly too low-pitched or something during the first few cuts on the CD version of Okonokos?  I can't put my finger on it, but it's almost as if the timbre of his voice is lower than it usually is, not like typical James.  This is most notable during "Gideon" in the lead up to his hitting that high note.  Just sounds weird to me.  Anyone else noticed this?  It drives me crazy because that's one of my favourite songs and I don't notice it on the DVD version.  I'm not sure if I got a bad CD or if the DVD just sounds so much better in 5.1 that it buries the flaws more efficiently.  What do you guys think?
