"I Can't Wait"

Hey guys. I was just listening to the Jim James solo WXPN show again and heard a song I hadn't noticed before- I Can't Wait. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about it?
I'm assuming it's something Jim wrote that never made it onto any records. I really, really like it so I was just curious. I'd never seen them/him play it before.

You are exactly right.  You can also hear it in the streams section on a WFPK live lunch from December '02.  This wonderful set also features a very rare Rollin' Back and a ver nice Come Closer.  Wish I could get this on disc.  ;) ;)

I am on a windows box now and I can right click on the link above and select save as and the mp3 will save to my desktop... try that.

It looks like WFPK's FTP site is down so I got to looking in my files for the show. I found that i have it as one big file from FPK and broken down song by song as well. It looks like song by song is higher quality. I'm not sure where this came from but it could have been aMD or Magnix. Anyway, here it is all zipped up for your downloading pleasure!

I'm still waiting for this one to show up on a studio release--it was my favorite form the Jim James/M Ward/Bright Eyes collaborative tour.  Alas it only shows up at gigs for now...
