Ok, I was reading about MMJ on Jamebase (after reading about the diappointing Trey shows), and am now curious  ;)

I was looking at archive.org for MMJ shows to download.  What to folks recommend I listen to first from archive.org?  Note, I have never heard a NOTE of MMJ, so this would be my first.

Quick background: I was (back when I was younger) a longtime Phish phan from about 1992 - 1998 (34 shows under my belt).  Used to go to a lot of local jamband shows in New England area.  I haven't listend to jambands in awhile.

FYI,
If you're looking for a bunch of noodlin', MMJ is not your band. For some reason, they get grouped in with Jambands, but are definitely NOT one. They do rock though. So if you enjoy the rock, hold on to your ass.

i would also direct you to a thread started not too long ago about MMJ vs. jam bands... there are strong feelings both ways here. but olwiggum has it right, hold on to your ass. and run out and get the bonnaroo 2004 DVD to see them in action. yowza!
everything sucks. really.

I'd get this show from archive:

I have heard only 4 or 5 live recordings and this one is my favorite. It's the 5th live show with Bo and Carl. Get it for War Begun, if no other reason.
