carl  - i think has the seed of the country gent in him and the hot star to watch is taylor. they would look good together and have a pretty unique sound. i know jj put out that bait about doing country in the future but i think carl is so flexible that he could go there first.

jj & gm  - two great voices. though i can see how gm may over power jj.

oh forgot - grace potter - when i first hit on her all i could do was dream of jj and the lass.  but i'm less enamoured by the proposition.
kind of fun in the barroom but not sure i could listen to that one years on end.

however grace is brill. nice thighs, great voice, ambition and the cutest dimples. would love to see her with her regular boys. do they ever leave the states?

They're not altering Jim's voice live like they do to Mick Jagger. If you want to hear him even more clearly, just listen to a solo show.

They do run him through a computer. I know that much. I think it slightly corrects his pitch and helps him hit some high notes. Or something. I don't know.

first show i ever saw of jj's was a solo . magic but not as the god's made him. more like the board made him a god. don't mind. but still curious.

i'm pretty tone deaf and couldn't sing happy birthday if my life depended on it.

maybe i only like musicians to compensate for my deficit. maybe i don't really like musicians. maybe i am one envious fool. fool for love and music.

really like jj's voice when it fails and flounders and he brings it back in. sometimes it's only the faults that strike the cord.

Interesting and good list, but I dont like ones in bold. The Loretta Lynn wouldnt be bad on Dancefloors, but Im thinking theres someone who'd be better. Not that Im going to come up with a list of replacements though...at least right now  ;D

Eddie would kick ass on Honest Man, but Connor would ruin I Think I'm Going to Hell with his whimpering. And yes, Strangulation with Neil Young would be amazing, especially if he played guitar on it. I'm having trouble imagining Morrissey on By My Car, but I'd love to hear it. If All Else Fails is good for present-day Wayne Coyne, but I'd love to hear 80s Wayne Coyne on What a Wonderful Man or It's About Twilight Now. Cool list. It would make a good thread topic all by itself.
