It Still Moves- 4.5

Evil Urges- 3.5
Tennessee Fire- 3 (Hate to do this, but Z is my all time favorite album, ISM is a monster, AD is just about perfect, and I adore EU for what it is)
In another time, in another place, in another face

TTF: 2.5
AD: 5
ISM: 6
Z: 4
EU: 2.5

however asking me in the summer creates a bias since in the next month AD will prob reign followed by Z in late fall early winter into TTF in late winter early spring and EU usually picks up steam for me April thru June. its just that when it comes to a hot day and cold beer, ISM is the perfect soundtrack

TN Fire gets the short end of the stick because the production is so lo-fi and the band was so young.  If they had remade it 10 years later (like I suggested...ahem  ;) ) it would be ranking much higher.  And if a frog had wings it wouldn't bump its ass when it hops.  Proceed...

I like the lo-fi sound as well and considering we'll never hear them make music like that again, it makes it unique.

Nashville to Kentuckey (and Tonight I want To Celebrate With You)especially, but also They Ran on the newest EP definitely make me want to hear all of TTF redone.

It would certainly appease all the people complaining they want a tour or new Jacket right now or during another similar year in the near future.
The thing is, Bob, it's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care. - Peter Gibbons

Because we're all in this together...

TTF - 6

AD - 6

ISM - 4

Z - 3

EU - 1

Not that I think EU is a bad album, just that in comparison to their past brilliance it doesn't quite measure up.  MMJ is kind of like the Pixies: Trompe Le Monde, generally conidered to be their weakest album is still a pretty fucking good album, it's just that they made DOOLITTLE and SURFER ROSA.

All I have to say is that when it comes to MMJ, it seems that the more lo-fi/acousticky the song, the more awesome it becomes when played live. Example: War Begun

True story!  Their lo-fi stuff ranks comparatively low on my album rankings, however, those are my favorite songs live.

I think each album is 1, each a perfect tonal masterpiece. maybe each album rotates mentally through a number 1 phase....thats all for now.
