I agree and disagree.  I don't like them because in other situations people use them for lack of talent.  In MMJ's case they just enhance the sound.  And if they didn't need to be in there I'm sure Jim wouldn't use them.

i get what you are saying, but i just can't see how it's justified.

i don't remember what song it was at t5 but i remember watching patrick during a loop at the start of one of the songs, and he was doing nothing while it was playing. it was just a simple snare loop or something he could have easily been playing.

i'm sure there are good reasons behind it, who am i to doubt, but i just don't like it.

Hey, even Patrick deserves a break once in a while!  Every time they start the Lay Low drum loop, he's toweling off his face, catching his breath.  I hear where LV is coming from on this, but I look at it from a practical standpoint.  We know Bo also brings in pre-recorded vocals for a number of songs (Wordless, IWSYS).  I sometimes  wish it was all just them, but its their art and I'm just along for the ride.
