did these guys play at EKU?

This is a possibly stupid question from a brand new fan.  I attended Eastern Kentucky University from 95 to 99, and I remember seeing a fantastic band play in our "Ravine" ampitheater.  After listening to them now, I can't help thinking that MMJ is the band I saw... Must have been 1998 or 1999.  Were these guys around then, and if so, does anyone know if they ever played  at EKU?
