I see that Dr. Dog is opening a few shows. Anyone know what he/they sound like? Any info/links?

Tim Bradach - a/k/a "Dr. Dog," rubboard, wacky percussion. Dr. Dog is a Hippie Emeritus on the West Bank in Minneapolis. He received his doctorate from Palmer's Bar and Community College. In addition to running the Cold Wind/Narnian record label, Tim sells dog shampoo and is a gentlemen former. He is famous on the West Bank (and several other neighborhoods) for his musical antics with the Tortilla Flats Jug Band and "Spider" John Koerner. Dr. Dog's favorite movie is "Cannonball Run 2" (a critical failure, but given the right "mood," a deep theological profile of the Rat Pack).

Hey there. I'm not sure what that guy was talking about, but the actual Dr. Dog that's opening up these shows is a a 5 piece band from my area - Philly, PA. I've seen 'em, and they're awesome. The music is somewhat hard to describe, but I think they fit really well on a bill with MMJ. They don't have a website that I know of, but they're in other bands that have sites. So, you can check those out if you're interested...

Toby (bass) and Scott (guitar) write songs for Raccoon:

Justin (drums) and Zach (keyboard) play in Bradford Trojan & The Traffic Jam:

The other guitarist, Doug, is in a band called Doublehorse, but I don't believe they have a website either. Anyway... if you get to any of those shows early to check 'em out, let me know what you think.

Hello again. Turns out Dr. Dog does have a website. It hasn't been updated in a couple months, but there's some mp3s, pictures, and info up there.

Those MP3s are pretty cool! If they ever hit Europe, I'll be there!  :)

I just wanted to say that I was really impressed with Dr. Dog at last night's show in Chapel Hill.  Great music.
