someone please explain to me how i play these damn things

Wiehls

I just figured it all out myself -- it was a mystery to me for a while.
First you have to download the Bit Torrent software (http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/download.html).  Then you download the file.  You have to download all the songs at once, and it will take a long time (but for, say, the Toronto MMJ show, it's worth it).  It will resume if you have to go offline and shut down -- just go back to the site and click on the file again.
Once the download is done you'll have a bunch of massive files (separate song files) in FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) format.  Then you have to download the FLAC frontend (ttp://wiki.etree.org/index.php?page=FlacFrontend).  Open this software, click "add files," find the FLAC files and add them, then click Decode -- it will convert them to WAV format, which you can then play in most media players.
Good luck!

oh god, im way to stoned for that

Wiehls

I swear, you can do it stoned.  Chances are pretty good that I was high when I figured it out.

I just can't believe this band has turned me into a geek who downloads shows.

Anyway, I can just send you the CDs of the Toronto show if you send me your address -- my e-mail is wiehls@ix.netcom.com.

peanut butter puddin surprise

if you've downloaded any bit torrent clients, you can also download a few of the .shn shows from the FTP server as well...seems like there's about 5 or 6 on there.

if you use winamp or some other player, there's a plugin to play .shn files as well...
Runnin' from somethin' that isn't there

peanut butter puddin surprise

oh, and it's all pretty easy to figure out...even with an impairment!  and yes, it seems weird that this organically minded band has turned people into downloadin' fools...but I wouldn't know anything about that!  ;) ;)
