Does anyone know more specific info on the guys in the band? I know how they got started, but does anyone know more personal info on the guys. Like how old they are, if they went to school, if they are still based in Kentucky, stuff like that. I just am curious to know a little more behind their personalities and why they sound the way they do.

hi and welcome...
the bio section of this site is pretty good in decribing inspirations, history of da band today, etc... also, by reading through past forum threads, you can learn a lot.
for example, a former member of the band just had his head shaved for charity.

jim's favourite colour is purple, he likes puppies, salsa dancing, long walks, holding hands and cobb salads. he likes tall girls who have a sense of humour and scars.

no, not really...

but by reading some forum members' experiences with band members, you'll see the guys are mellow, down-to-earth, and very fan-friendly. also, they rock.
everything sucks. really.

Thanks for responding! I did read their bio, more than once, but I guess it was not answering what I wanted. You know how on other bands' websites they give more details on the members? Like on Dave Matthew's  they talk about how he grew up etc. I just thought maybe there was something more along these lines on them. I have read various topics in the forum but haven't really found anything. Also do you know anything more about their old cd's Tennesse Fire and At Dawn? Are they more melodic like It Still Moves?

hi again...
as a budding fan, you should check out the other albums and EPs and decide for yourself. obviously everybody's interpretation is different. look up articles in no depression, rolling stone, mojo, etc...
do a little legwork, it'll pay off, i promise!
everything sucks. really.

I was pretty curious about the same things recently and went to the "Nashville to Kentucky" site......it's got some cool stuff.

wow, what an interview. one of the best i've ever read, and i found out so much about the band that i didn't know.

"Inarticulate frustration sounds like a flimsy base for songwriting. Well, perhaps it would be for another band, one that doesn't rely on gorgeous pyramids of reverb vocals, but in "Wordless Chorus," Z's opening track, the song's "ahs" get the point across better than language could."

fantastic! ;D
