Kerry and the ketchup lady have a lot of money to give away before they can be called Socialists. No, I think Sen. Kerry is a pretty damn good capitalist.

I say this as someone who wouldn't mind seeing a few more alternatives, such as a real Socialist Party candidate.

in Massachusetts there is a box you can check on the state income tax form if you would like to pay the old higher tax rate.  its my understanding that Mr Kerry has never opted to do so.  not sure what that says about him except that he dislikes taxes as much as the next person.  I do know his side of the aisle using taxes to pay for more programs supporting the people who are likeliest to vote for them (historically) but who knows maybe he would be different...
