This can be the official Jazz Fest page. New Orleans Jazz Fest is gunna rock shit this year. Some people that are gunnas be there(that I am gunna see): Wilco, James Taylor, Elvis Costello, Dr. John, The Black Crowes.  Others: Widespread Panic, The Roots, Trey Anastasio, Dave Matthews Band.  
 
P.S.- and if thats not enough, night shows by The Walkmen, Taj Mahal, Drive-By Truckers and maybe another night show by Wilco.

The deal is that any bands can play, but they have to re-chart their music into jazz form.  So, it's kind of cool.  Like that Christmas Day recording of "X-Mas Curtain".  

I think the Drive-By Truckers is gonna be great!  I mean, really, their music is very jazzy in the first place...

Haha man you're full of shit. The bands play like they normally do.  Its just a festival. Sure some bands might get captured in the jazz theme and play a jazz song, but its just like any other show. The headliners arent very jazzy artists but all the local stuff is thick jazz.
