All signs are pointing to a summer tour starting up May/June!!  This is from tinymixtapes.com:

Transistor Radio [TMT Review], the title to M. Ward's latest record keeps us folk-rock fans wanting more, craving more, needing more. Slated to perform on KCRW's radio show, Morning Becomes Eclectic, on May 6th 2005 at 11:15am, M. Ward is expected to fulfill your wants, craves, and needs. And there's more! A summer tour with My Morning Jacket, whose frontman Jim James contributed vocals on Transistor Radio, is planned sometime after this spring tour, so look out for that. Ya I'm super pumped about the St. Paul show.  The Turf Club's a great venue for him, really intimate but still rough around the edges.

He's coming back to NYC in a few weeks and just wondering if it will be another solo show or if he's bringing a band with him this time around. Anyone have an idea, either way I am so there!  ;) sean

The MMJ with M. Ward tour is not confirmed yet, I don't think...  It's seeming likely, but don't get too excited in case it doesn't happen.  

I know when he comes back to Toronto in month he's bringing a band - his friend's band he said.  I don't know who it is.  He kept saying his friend's band, and I kept having to calm myself, and internally say "It can't be his friend Jim's band, so don't freak out."  And it wasn't.  heh.

The site here is gospel, NOTHING else is.  tinytapes doesn't work for the band, and neither does anyone else.  It drives me nutty when people get all fired up about "shows" that don't freakin' exist other than in the hype of it all.  Trust CC Baxter.  Don't trust me, I'm just the watchdog and I don't know shite...other than the fact that CC Baxter and this site are GOSPEL on shows.  If it ain't here, it ain't happening.

Aiieeee!  Whoops, sorry about spreading rumors.  I was just plain excited about M.Ward touring, so I slapped up the post quick-like.  Highlighting the MMJ connection was obviously not the best choice.  Sorry all.

M ward is not touring with MMJ he is touring with friends including Adam Selzer of the band Norfolk and Western...if you like M.Ward you'll love N& W...See Adam Last year with Richmond Fontaine and The Broken Family Band all for a fiver....bloody bargain. :D

Couple of things.  Firstly, there's a website from last year that says that M. Ward will be touring with My Morning Jacket - LAST YEAR.  People have been quoting those dates, (in fact, I think I even did that a while ago... :() for THIS YEAR.

Secondly, nothing is ever confirmed until it is posted here.  Last summer I saw that My Morning Jacket was playing a bunch of dates that I thought I could make, but I'm pretty sure those dates were never on THIS board.  As it turns out, the boys never played in those places.

What John is trying to say is that a lot of people say that the band is going to be playing in their venue or in their town or with their favourite opening act, but don't ever believe it until it's posted here on the SHOWS page.  I mean, believe it if you want, but you might get sad.

Also, just to be completely safe, I don't think anybody has officially said anywhere that M. Ward will be touring with My Morning Jacket this summer.

But tell you what, he's coming here in a coupla weeks.  I'll ask him and report back.  ;)
