Just talked to Sweatboard a couple of hours ago....he called to let me have a little listen of Gov't Mule.  BASTARD!!!  He said the Drive By Truckers were unbelievable yesterday afternoon, and of course The Allman Brothers were breathtaking.  He's counting the minutes until Sunday afternoon when MMJ plays, but had to get off the phone to listen to the rest of Gov't Mule, and then off to see the Black Crowes....DAMNIT I"M JEALOUS....JEALOUS AGAIN!!?? (no pun)

So glad he's having a great time. He's been looking forward to it (jonesin'?) for such a long time. They all have. Wonder if the mmj fans have had their jam session yet - hope he persuades the others to join him on the pina colada song. I know what you mean about being jealous. Maybe you'll get to go next year.

Cool of Brain to update us - he's a nice guy  8)

I know that Brian (Sweatboard) is taking his taping setup to record a jam session with the rest of the jacket-heads there, so I'm sure he's looking forward to it.  Note that he told me he wasn't taping the MMJ show (too much heat/hassle/alcohol) or any other show.  Bonaroo will sell the official soundboard bootleg like last year, I'm assuming...so no big deal.

There'll be shit-tons of other tapers there as well. My buddy Mark from the DBTs list is gonna tape them for sure... and you're right. Livebonnaroo.com will hopefully have their set for download as well.

I'm glad thet Brian finally got in to the DBTs. He had I went back and forth (in a friendly way) about them in a thread here not too long ago because he wasn't fond of them. I told him that he needed to see them live. I think his mind was changed when he saw them a few weeks ago.  :)

Yeah, Brian and I got to see the DBT's a few weeks ago.  They definately rock hard....but I have to agree with 'ol Sweatboard....a lot of the lyrics are very cheesy.  We've both agreed that the music makes up for the lyrics.  Our friend who is the singer/songwriter/rythm guitarist in a local band is a HUGE DBT fan, and turned Brian and I onto the Truckers.  But I even asked our musician Trucker fan how he could like them soo much when even he writes better lyrics????

Sweatboard at Bonnaroo was the only show that I missed.

And it made me really sad.  :(
