Folk Festival!

I do not know about the rest of you guys, but I am certainly excited to see Jim and M.Ward play acoustic sets at the Newport Folk
Festival.  Just saw the ban d in Northhampton.  Was great to see rock again, and now we get to see the other side of Jim's talent.  Anyways, the entire lineup looks pretty good, so it should be great!  Hope to see some more Jacket fans there supporting.  Peace.

Hi there I just became a MMJ fan about a year ago and We saw them in Northhampton.  We think my girlfriend yelling Hopefully out loud a thousand times got jim to play it.  Also want to say it is my first time on the forum.  Oh Yeah by the way MMJ was undescribable in Northhampton and can't wait to see him in Newport.

Emmylou Harris had to cancel her appearance yesterday at the last minute because of a family emergency, a disappointment shortly abated by the announcement that Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, attending as guests, agreed to go on in Harris's place. Odetta, scheduled to play on Saturday, canceled as well, because of a broken hip.

Woah!  Seriously, if it had to be an Emmylou cancellation, you could maybe deal with it if it were Gillian and David.

Man, I really wanted to go to that festival.

The band found time during its two rehearsals for the Newport gig to learn one actual folk song, ''Been All Around the World," a galumphing tune about shooting up.

Another young performer, 25-year-old former busker and fretboard-slapping sprite Kaki King, accomplished the formidable task of making an acoustic guitar sound thrilling and new.

How was the part of the festival when Jim james played did he play by himself at all or did he do all his music with m ward thanks please reply we had to miis the festival
