QuoteOh, if I'm there I might request Journey's Don't Stop Believin'
AWESOME!!!

You should get them to put some My Morning Jacket on their damn jukebox, too!!!

Chills

MMM, Curtis Mayfield is on that list, nice.
As for Journey, with Jim James as the DJ everything is possible  :).
By the way, if he wants he could play his own records (a little part of Cobra maybe?), or would that be uncool for a DJ?

whothrewthecake

Chills, please go and tell us all about it. that owns.

I will, if it all happens to plan.
It seems there are lot of American dates coming up, so you can all get excited too!

Yes yes yes, it's very exciting.  But you get to dance while Jim djs!!!  I suggest you start practising now, because I want to know that you are CLAIMING the floor.

No jokes.

I wonder if he'll play any slow songs...

Chills

This shall be my chosen look for the evening. Look out ladies  :).

Yeah he should play some slow ones. Why don't dj's do that anymore? I suggest "Beth" by the mighty Kiss!

Allright seriously, he should also play "More Than A Woman".
Imagine dancing to that one in that sharp suit with a glass of Dom Perignon '95 in your hands. MMMM

you people from london are lucky bastards.. i guess they were tired of hearing "when you guys ever gonna come to the UK again?"

actually, I'm from Belgium where they haven't played in quite a long time, and when they did Jim lost his voice!
I don't think there is someone from London posting on this forum?

I don't know why peopel don't play slow songs anymore.  It sucks.  Maybe the pill culture took over so that people were just into fast-dancing.  Or maybe we stopped trusting each other to touch strangers.

Whatever the case, I will never forget all the basement dance parties we would have in grades six to eight and just play only slow songs, and dance and then make out in closets and stuff.  That shit was awesome.

One of my friends started a series of make out parties at local bars and clubs around town.  They were kind of fun, but they should've started with slow dancing.

Chills

Those basement dance partie sound like lotsa fun!
I trust Jim to create a similar atmosphere  :)

Going to sleep now, it's after 12 in this fair country  8)

Chills

Any idea who's supporting in London?

By the way, I went to the Scala website, that thing looks clean! Not very rock n roll, more of a dance club or something, and there seems to be an early curfew for the bands (for the dance-crowd I guess).

Chills

Yeah, I got my tickets for both shows!!
That was faster than expected.
Ready to ROCK  8)

Chills

No problem, I heard rumours you would open for them on the sixth! I'll see you then  ;)

Billy_Pilgrim

got myself tickets for both nights. I am beside myself with excitement. I've been waiting for this since I got into the band a couple of years ago.

Roll on September 6 & 7!!!!!

p.s. I reserve the right to cry if Jim plays 'I will be there when you die' at the acoustic show.
Why's it sooo soft when the cannons unload on the others?
Why're we so loud when we say it wont happen to us?

1st post - so hello everyone! ;)

Chills... i was there at that AB gig in brussels, went on my own and was well gutted when he lost his voice. I remember halfway through he attempted to sing again and then gave up...gutted!
Im gonna be travelling down to london to review both gigs so hopefully his voice wont fallout again!

Ha, I might see you there!
Brussels was a bad day. I met Jim after the show and he still couldn't say even a single word.
He looked really down, but I still got him to sign my Tennessee Fire cd. He wrote "next time will be better", so, we'll see!

I'll be there on the fifth, so I'm planning to go if I can get in somehow.
