Tommy did beat the shit out of that bass all night, huh? I think it was the most intense that I've ever seen him play. He didn't let up all night.

Didn't they extend the rock out part of "off the record" before the outro? Seems like it went on longer last night.

Hey...well, this is my very first post. I decided it was time to make an account on here after last night. Last night being probably the most incredible night of my life. The best day of my life being the first time I saw them at Bonnaroo '05. Last night I went with three other lovely kids from Murray, KY and ended up seeing and hanging out with three other kids from Murray.

The show. The show. The show. Oh, dear Lord in Heaven, the show. Is there anything I could possibly say that hasn't already been said? I doubt that. I was so unbearably excited that it didn't even hit me that I saw MMJ until we walked out of City Hall. I was blown away. I haven't had such an incredible night...ever (despite the ever so polite woman who bum-rushed her way to the front of the crowd, stole my spot in the front row, was later followed by her boyfriend who complained about MMJ all evening and who continually rubbed herself against me in a very inappropriate manner). Here are some of my highlights from last night:

-While standing outside in the will call line with my friend Folded Fawn, we were chit-chatting and all of a suddent out of nowhere all of the other Murray kids begin chanting "QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK," at the top of their drunken lungs.
-Watching MMJ do a sound check from outside before the show began. How many people get to watch that sort of thing? I fell in love watching them.
-Watching Kathleen Edwards being 3000% sure I knew the drummer then after the show was over, finding out they're from Canada and I really don't know the drummer.
-Watching Jim make those beautiful screams into the mic.
-Watching one of the friends I came with grab Jim's ass. I was more than a little jealous. I held his hand afterward though...it wasn't the same but I pretend well.
-When Jim came over to our small tight-knit group and put his hand up to his face. Gorgeous that was.
-Watching Jim dance.
-Hearing "Run Thru" and "Mageetah"

I suddenly can't think right now but I know there are more. Last night was too incredible to not have more. Last night made me happy and thats really all I can say about that. Goodnight and I love you.

A note to Brian to close out a very memorable weekend. Thanks for the cd's and thanks for being a fan. LA and I hanging out with you and AB Friday and Saturday night was very special. Glad the Jacket brought us all together. I really can't think of how last night (realistically) could have been better; I guess the Vols could have beat UGA...

We'll do it again soon and next time I'll get LA to get you a 6'er of Canada Dry Raspberry Sparkling Water, maybe they'll let you take it in to the show  ;)

Here's to Kings of Leon playing Spiral Staircase Friday night!

homeboys were on top form, definately hitting on all cylinders; tight concise and rock'n rollin' all over the damn stage.

mean off the record/lay low solos!

boy i tell you what. that jimmy james, he knows how to lay it down! Not to mention tommy and carl, they were on top o' shit too, i though the whole damn band was gonna rock the self destruct button. MAN, THEY GOT DOWN!!!

'i think i'm going to hell?'  didn't see the atl setlist, so i went in never even expecting to hear this...ever...much less last night. i'm still picking bits of myself off the floor.
'into the woods' was magical.
'run thru' is a two ton monster that cannot be stopped...i live in fear, you should too.

i highly advise everyone to be at the next show the boys play in Nashvegas. Totally worth it.

oh yeah, did anybody get a soundboard/recording?

oh yeah, God, I Love This Band
You need it.  That's for sure.

I think I need to keep away from the Shows part of the forum for a while!
These posts are making me SO jealous :-/
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

You said realisticaly.

Also, we can 86 that Sparkaling Canada Dry, seriously............You need to remove that stuff from your household with a quickness, I'm afraid it's going to start contaminating the other food in your fridge.  Bring on Spiral Staircase though.
