I might be there with three others.
He made it to the ocean, had a smoke in a tree.
The wind rose up set him down on his knee.
A wave came crashing like a fist to the jaw.
Deliver him wings,

I've got two more coming, so that's five in all for me.  So are we going to have a part of bar reserved or are we just kind of all showing up at the same bar?

OK, I just talked to the manager at BBC - Theater Square and we are confirmed for a group of 20 for 6:30 Wednesday.  He said that he would have two large tables set up for us in the back (which is just the term they use for the room closest to the kitchen).  If more than 20 show up they can easily add more space for us.  He will be playing a mix of MMJ and VHS or Beta music on their system for our enjoyment.  The room we will be seated in is a no smoking room, but smokers can light up in the bar area in the next room.  Here are details about the location and specials again.

Happy hour from 3-7 pm
$1 off 20-oz. drafts,
$1 off appetizers,
$1 off well drinks,
$1 off house wines,
Warthog members get their warthogs mugs filled for $3.

BBC is the BG on the map.  The Louisville Palace is located just north of the HC (Highland Coffee) on the map.  4th Street Live is shown by the 4S on the map.  The 4th Street Trolley line is shown by the dashed green line.  For those of you staying in the Brown Hotel, the BBC is virtually across 4th St from you.  By the way, all of the N/S streets on the map are numbered streets (4th, 5th, 6th, etc.)

I look forward to meeting everyone.  See you Wednesday.   ;D

Cool.  At least I won't be the only Hoosier there.  ;)

I just found this small write up from last friday's local newspaper.  http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051111/SCENE02/511110339/1044

Chicken takes wing at downtown BBC

The local brewpub options grew earlier this year when Bluegrass Brewing Co. opened a second location downtown on Theater Square. The beer is brewed at the St. Matthews location, but the menu is substantially different from that at the original brewpub. And there's recently been a menu update.

Smoked chicken is being used in a pot pie ($12) and in nachos ($6), added to fettuccine Alfredo and pasta primavera and, perhaps most flavorfully, in the smoked chicken wings ($7).

The big, meaty wings come with a choice of sauces -- barbecue, tangy buffalo sauce and a honey mustard glaze -- to set off the smokehouse aroma. The wings are served with a side of celery and blue cheese dressing.

Other new menu items are a patty melt ($7.75), a "Villie" cheesesteak ($8) and supreme pasta marinara ($12).

The pub's kitchen is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 10 p.m. The phone number is (502) 568-2224. The BBC's Web address is www.bbcbrew.com.

QuoteDo we have a time estimation for this monumental pre-show event?

Holy crap, I don't even know what time the show starts.  What time does the show start?  The website says 8:30 - is that doors or show?

I would have assumed that 8:30 was the actual show time, but WFPK said this morning that the live broadcast of the show would start at 10:00pm!!!  :o  I guess VHS or Beta's set will not be broadcast, but could start at 8:30??
