Thinks thats a Burns 12-string. It actually looks a bit like the Brian May signature. Don't know if it is though.

it's actually a 12-string electric Ovation... i have never seen an Ovation electric before this one... i am pretty sure that  they currently only make acoustic guitars... so this one is probably either vintage or custom

josh homme of qotsa plays an ovation electric (ovation gp) - dunno if ovation still makes electrics, but josh's guitars (he has a couple) are from a short run made in the early 80's...

correct - Ovation has tried several times to get into the solid-body electric market and had very stagnant results. one of the attempts was the ovation 12 string jim plays. i believe it to be a 'hurricane' 12-string. made in about '86.
