I'm new to MMJ but have gone off the deep end.  I thought the Austin City Limits performance was great.  However, I don't really know the names of the songs as I tend to listen to MMJ (and all other music) on my iPod and don't know the names of songs.  Can anyone run down the setlist of what Austin City Limits broadcast on February 11, 2006?

Thanks much.

I believe it was:

1.) Golden
2.) What a Wonderful Man
3.) Gideon
4.) Dondante
5.) Anytime

Hope that helps.

So what did everyone think of the performance?  Was it me or was Golden a little fast???  I have never seen them live (yet) so I don't know if that's typical or not.  And in a live setting is Jim's voice always that raw sounding?  I guess I am just used to the "produced" voice right now.  I really need to see them live.  My only beef with the performance...too short!

I thought it was terrific.  My favorite was What a Wonderful Man.  A great rocker.  That is a song that sounds better live than on record.  It was too short and I wish we could have had a full set.
If you don't know for yourself, how could you ever know for me....

Is it just me, or when Anytime was coming to an end, were you checking the clock hoping that they would squeeze in just one more?  Oh man i wish it would have gone on forever.  Gideon and Dondante were highlights that I will play over and over again.  I have seen better Golden's but I think he was still warming up.

I am with ya on Wonderful Man.  Friggin' rocks live.

How can one band be so subtle and then rock so hard within seconds.

I think what I enjoyed the most, is seeing Jim's fret work up close especially on Dondante.  Damn that was good.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Speaking of close-ups, how about that close up of Jim's head toward the end.  I do not remember which song it was in, but the screen was black with just his head in the lower left corner and a yellow spotlight in the upper right corner with yellow rays shining down on Jim's head.  Did anyone else think of this guy?

Well the music is your special friend

Just watched it as it was finally aired here on PBS in NY.  :o ha ha. Hey is that an Andrew Bird (Weather Systems)sample in Gideon. Cool. Wish there was more than the five songs would of loved a Wordless and 4U, but I can't complain. Super Nice!
