"My Morning Jacket hopes to reschedule the European dates as soon as Jim is fully recovered and able to perform. "

So that would be now then would it not?

That's what we europeans should live with : hope. :-/

I'll go and give Z another spin...  :D
We are young despite the years,
we are concern,
we are hope despite the times

Norberg J

Z  hmm this has European producer, no?
Strange.
But why "hopes" only to book more in America? No is fair. ???

i'm sure they'll get it sorted soon - you can't just snap your fingers & reorganise pan-continental tours like that... i'm sure it takes a while...

love a song for the way it makes you feel

You're absolutely right Ali but some reassuring would be nice, especially after announcing the U.S. dates.
Throw us a bone someone?

Cue backlash:  ;)

You have lit the blue touchpaper. Now we should retire. (You're probably too young to remember that Ben. It used to be the safety instructions on fireworks.)

ali

even just a short "hi folks, we're getting things sorted, get back to you soon with dates etc" from their management would be kinda nice

fireworks have been banned here for so long i can barely remember even having them!

I can understand everyone's frustration, but the only American dates that have been announced so far are for festivals. I think those do tend to get locked in before theater/club dates.

You're right of course Kerri.

We have have festivals here too.

Do you ever go to Leeds Carling Ben G?

ben grimm

I say I'm going every year but never do. I went to Reading once when it was just Reading, it was great Chilli Peppers, Verve, Flaming Lips, Lemonheads, Frank Black, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Helmet, I remember being gutted that Soundgarden cancelled. My Mrs sells merch at festivals now (she did Live8 and various others last summer) and is supposed to do leeds this year, I may sign up with Oxfam and go this year, rumour has it that Pearl Jam will headline this year.
What about you Doc?

I went to Reading once when it was just Reading - saw Alice Cooper and the Stranglers  :D

Have been to Leeds a few times. I love the whole expeience apart from the (well named) bogs  :-[

MMJ have played Leeds (twice I think) but it was one of the gigs cancelled the summer before last. We spent quite a bit of time in the comedy tent last time. Just went in because it was raining but had a great time.

Quotesaw Alice Cooper and the Stranglers  :D
I worked a Hugh Cornwell gig once, he was an arsehole, kicked off backstage cos his champagne wasn't cold enough.

He WAS an arsehole! He gave a rant about middle class kids being too polite to protest. The irony was his set was crap (not a patch on Alice) and we were too polite to point it out  ;D
