Can we all agree one one thing and be happy?

Here are the facts:

1.Jim went through quite an ordeal, and  MMJ opening for a few shows with Pearl jam is a great way to get back in game shape for their own tour.

2. Being a huge pearl jam fan, you have to understand that those guys are huuuuge fans of quality, kick ass bands like MMJ. They picked them cause they are supportive of their music. On the recent tour in Canada Sleater-Kinney opened for them...and Eddie introduced them every night, stood right next to the stage to listen to the entire set, invited to play in the encores.

3. I know some of you don't like pearl jam, and that's cool...you guys have been very cool about it...but understand that MMJ respects pearl jam, and there's a HUUUGE chance that we'll be seeing some MMJ/PJ jams at the end of the pearl jam show...cause they're both huge fans of sharing music :)

4. By warming up to these opening act kind of shows...they will be all warmed up to rock out HAAARD at their own shows...

peace,
Matt

I think that's SO awesome.  I love when the opening band are introduced by someone in the headlining band.  I always get sad when I go to a show and the opener starts and everyone's loud (mostly because the lights are still half up and the sound is at less volume) and people are walkin' around and stuff.  So it's cool when the headliner (who everyone has a hard on for) introduces the band.  Gets everyone excited and makes everyone listen.  yarrr.

I can't wait for the Chicago show!!!

As I said my two favorites bands together!!!

I know not everyone likes PJ, but as it's been said before this is a great opportunity for MMJ!!

I'm looking forward to Jim and ED jamm'in together
He made it to the ocean, had a smoke in a tree.
The wind rose up set him down on his knee.
A wave came crashing like a fist to the jaw.
Deliver him wings,

I think that its a great double bill.

Shame it won't be in europe.

Yup, this is a great double bill. Two of the coolest bands around playing with eachother. I've seen PJ ten times and they are the highest quality guys you'll find. I wish this twosome  would play my hometown (Seattle) every night for the rest of my life.

As it looks now I probably won't get to see this double bill since it's primarily an east coast ticket, but I'm hoping the gods will shine on the Emerald City and I'll be able see both these great bands together.

To all those on the east coast who see them, enjoy it and brag about how good it was on the forums so I can live through you!!!

I plan on tapeing both the MMJ sets in Rutherford, and I would guess there is a great chance of most of the others getting taped.  As far as I know the tapeing policy is very open for Pearl Jam.
