Well, I was disappointed with the weather, the number of people actually present during the Jacket's set, and most of all by the length of time given to them to play (45 friggin' minute?! c'mon!)  Anyway, they're getting the much deserved exposure on this tour...Additional note:  don't expect any "duets" as have been discussed heavily in another thread--there appears to be a lack of any connection between the 2 groups (Eddie gave a passing nod to the guys late in their set but that was about it).

My favorite bits:
MMJ:  Steam Engine!  ;D (Wordles Chorus killed to!)

PJ:  Corduroy (tho' it was nice to hear all the older stuff, PLUS we were only the 2nd live show to hear Inside Job  8)).  I also really am digging on WWSuicide--very tasty riffing.  The Best Part:  ALL of the ticket proceeds went to an aquaintance of Mike McCready who has no health insurance and desparately needs all the help she can get--Bravo guys!

Just wait my friend.  MMJ and PJ WILL work out something AMAZING together.  Mark my words.  I'm just sorry you had to catch them a little early in the tour.  Good to hear about the procceeds.  That's PJ for you. ;D
There's Still Time.........

i still can't believe i missed the entire mmj set, especially b/c i've never gotten a live steam engine. i was quite upset

pj was awesome, RVM and Sleight of Hand were personal favorites

i've got one more chance to see Jacket at continental night 1, but i doubt they'll play steam engine again.

Kentucky band My Morning Jacket opened the show with a 40-plus minute set of sprawling rock 'n' roll tunes textured by organ, roaring guitars and singer Jim James' echo-chamber vocals. The band meandered coolly through the laid back "Wordless Chorus" - which features exactly that - and tore through a blazing version of "Anytime" with ferocious energy.

Yes, Steam Engine was incredible on Saturday night. I had a blast rocking out to it!

I look forward to seeing them in Cleveland and Philly. Hopefully we will get another headlining tour this year.
