They filled (and blew the fucking roof off of) Bogart';s last fall. I think Southgate would be a stretch...

i was at the bogart's show.  i think they capacity there is 1200, and i know southgate house is less than that.  i've seen quite a few shows at bogart's, but i can't stand the venue, for many reasons.

I'm so glad they did "Phone Went West". My heart sank a little when I read those interviews this year that they probably wouldn't play that song again for a while.

wow.  I can't believe I missed that!  I hope the video pops up soon.   They pullled out some oldies and goodies (still no War Begun though).  All the covers and guests! Wow!  I can't wait to hear this one, I hope they release the audio again.

On KC Guetig.  He was the drummer when At Dawn was released although he was not the drummer on the album.  The only recording he was actually on was the Split EP.  He's mainly a jazz drummer and brought a different feel to the band.  The best live show from his era or any era for that matter is the Planetarium show 9/01.

Wow!

aMD, there's a link to the first half of the show in one of the other threads. It just popped up.

thanks, corey.  I just spotted it.  Hopefully the rest of the show is on it's way.

Man, this is an amazing show.  Coming off Letterman and with the Pops coming up, this is a big time for the band.  Used to be you didn't have to leave Louisville to see legendary Jacket shows!  Oh well, I'll settle for the video.  Someone tape the Pops for Christ's sake!!!!!

I missed most of the second half of the show. I had my PC cranked up and was listening to the audio from the car-port. I would run inside every once in a a while when I would be surprised by the song selection ("The Bear", "Phone Went West").
Jesus, I hope Bonnaroo is quick about releasing the multi-track of this show... but not so quick that they don't get a good mix on it.   :)

Theres some songs from Split that are on SweatBees, so I assume hes on that too since its the same songs.

I gotta ask, somewhere after Attitude, and before The Bear, they dropped into a song I could have SWORN I've heard before, but I'm not familiar with MMJ, at least, I didn't think I was.  Any chance that someone might know if they diverted from one song, into another, and came back out again into the original song, and it wasn't listed?

Sorry if that's confusing, but I SWEAR I had heard that song before, and I cannot seem to place it in my mind.  It seemed like a slower version of the original.

At the end of LOVING CUP, they went into the outro part of EASY MORNING REBEL.  It was awesome.  This should probably be noted on the official setlist.  Thanks.

Loving Cup? PHONE WENT WEST?!! I can't even begin to imagine how amazing it must have been
to have seen that show. Stuff of legends...
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Also noticed on the setlist that there are two #11's, so they actually played 31 songs!!!!

Hold my life until I'm ready to use it

yeah, i think i may have even asked one of the guys about phone went west being retired and was saddened to be told that it'd probably never see the light of day again. and this happens.

another note, i believe that was in response to me asking about the chances of lil' billy being played live. if jim's got some fuckin attitude, i don't see why he couldn't reeeeally fuck us up.
The river is moving. The blackbird must be flying.

OK, was it just the Blue Room audio, or did they take the most guitar heavy song in their lineup, mahgeetah, and turn it into a keyboard extraveganza.  That was so friggin' cool even if it was an audio problem.  I didn't notice any other problems like this.  Can someone who was at the show comment on this?  Or someone that was watching the blue room back me that the entire mahgeetah outro was all keyboard?
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

I think it was just Blue Room audio.  Carl's guitar was not coming through on several songs.  I especially noticed this on climaxes of The Bear and IWSYS.  However, you could hear the slight echo of his guitar in the background, so I think the folks at the show could hear him just fine.

MyLifeISought

The blueroom audio was weird all weekend. There were some unbelievable low points (some clearly kickass sax solos on Claypool didn't show up at all, not even a little soaking in through another mic). The best mix of the weekend was Phil and Friends, which started out rocky, but would up amazing, great from the low end to the keys. I just wish that the MMJ had been better...
But, i'm sure we have some AUDs to turn up in the next few days
