I'm kinda surprised the MMJ set hasn't come out yet--anybody got any inside info?
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

I do not know. I got mine off of the archive.org? It is a little muddy and flat, but who gives a Fuck? It is MMJ for Christ's sake!

word round the campfire is they didn't want to release it near the time the official live cd, okonokos is coming out, so it'll probably be a little bit.

MMJ_fanatic

I can certainly understand that--don't want to compete with yourself!

Roo was amazing, but i fully expect Okonokos to top it. It's multi-track, well mixed, and from all indications will be a complete mindfuck

I imagine Roo 06 won't be coming out until long after Okonokos has been out and about...

ManNamedTruth

I don't believe it has anything to do with MMJ. It appears that none of the performances from '06 are up yet.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

If this Bonnaroo double/tripled disc does ever come out it's on par with the greates live records of all time.......Allman Brothers@The Fillmore - Who@Leeds etc. etc.

I think they reached a peek on stage that night that is truly legendary.  The cosmos had alligned on that night and it was during a time when the band is so damn tight........it all just made for one of the most overwhelming concerts ever put on, by anyone, ever.  By FAAARRRR the BEST show I have EVER seen, by any band.  I still think about it often and listen to the recording.  I've been learning to play the "Older Guys/Head Hell Higher" medley lately........it's mindblowing and so much fun to play along to.

It's funny you say that becuase I labeled my Bonnaroo '06 CD's as follows:

Greatest Show Ever Disc #1
Greatest Show Ever Disc #2
Greatest Show Ever Disc #3

And I finally used Angry Ewok's tri fold artwork and it turned out to be quite a nice little package.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Well, that's a good point, but it would still be silly for them to release the Roo set with the pending release of Okonokos.
Their 04 set was out pretty quickly, but it took livebonnaroo forever to post the 05 set.

Listening to Loving Cup as we speak. ;) Oh and that truely was the best show I will ever attend in my whole life. I met Jim at the solo show in camden and told him that. I think it made him happy.

Hey, I'm glad you like it! Feels good to know some folks have actually put together the tri-fold thing and all that...

I don't know... I have reason to believe that MMJ was holding the release off themselves. I'm not sure what the relationship is with Roo and the artists, though.

A tad off topic, but did the Dave Matthews Band show from Bonnaroo 2005 ever get released? I don't think so... I wonder why?
