Hey everybody,
Just wondering if anyone knew of a quality Jim James solo show available on the web? I've checked out archive.org because I seem to remember there being at least one in there, but since they're all listed as 'My Morning Jacket' it's hard to tell for sure. Thanks for your time.

Hmmm. There was a really nice show posted on someone's blog recently. I believe it was from a Radio Music festival or some shit. Good stuff.
Maybe someone with a better memory can find it for you.

ycartrob

I like this one. It says MMJ, but it's just Jim.

acoustic, omnichord, story telling...

My fav is a solo show that Jim played around Xmas time a few years ago (2000?) but I have no idea where you can find that one.
Here's Jim from the WXPN All About The Music Festival earlier this year, this might be the one that Corey is talking about:

Another request, actually:
I've heard mention many times of a Jim James live version of either Silent Night or Holy Night (he stops in the middle to take off his shoes, I think?) that is supposed to be incredible. Anyone know where I can get a hold of this?
Also, although I'm pretty certain a recording of it is non-existent, the boys covering 'Don't Stop Believing' by Journey if anyone's got the connection would make myself and, I don't think I'm overstepping here, MANY other people happy. I can only imagine the awesomeness of that one.
Thanks again to the quick responses. I love the albums, but can anyone really deny that solo Jim is an experience unto itself?

Damery

Scratch that 'Holy Night' request...got a little ahead of myself and made it before I opened the cocnert file tOmeisenbraun arranged. Thanks dude, two birds with one stone!
But seriously... 'Don't Stop Believing'....anyone?!

aMD

don't stop believin' was not recorded, or at least was not yet been cirulated, unfortunately.  i'd love to hear it too.  If you're interested, the covers comp at the top of the music section contains all known recordings of covers songs done by the band.  if it's not there, then it's not in circulation, with the exception of five or six tracks I will be adding in the coming weeks.

Damery

Right...forgot about the covers comp...my bad. Damn, twice in in the same thread!

ali

thanks for the links guys!!! (much happy downloading going on here!)

but OMG......

the man is wearing a different shirt!!  ;D
love a song for the way it makes you feel

tomEisenbraun

haha, and rightly so. somehow, the black shirt seems entirely out of place during a daytime outdoors show. or even at a solo show in general...
