Also, I got an email notification of the presale tix  just 2 hours before they went on sale and they were "sold out" almost immediately. I am not sure what the ploy was, how many were available or if it was just to hype the upcoming NYE show... hmmmm.

but i WILL be there...Saturday AND Sunday night.

I'm in, baby, Sat and Sun.  I'm wondering how varied the setlist will be from night to night?  Anyone who's seen them two nights in a row / same venue have any input?  I know they will mix it up to some degree but I wonder if we will hear songs like wordless, gideon, off the record, etc. both nights.
Dieu et les Dames.

QuoteIf you are flying in from New Zealand ( I assume) why would you just go to one show???

Flying into San fran on the 30th, want to rage with all the boys on the 31st, too many people to organize for a show.  Will probably regret not buying NYE tix.  Stoked for the 30th!!!!

between today's on sale and the pre-sale was able to get tix for all three nights.

and now i don't have to decide between mmj and wilco in chicago at thanksgiving.  whew!   :)

i would like to add:  HOORAYHOORAYHOORAY!!

well, after having seen MMJ for two-night stands x2, I have to say that they are pretty good at mixing it up, although they tend to switch up older songs and play their newer stuff on both nigts...
for example, Hopefully was played only one night at the High Sierra, but otherwise the setlists were the same (content). However, the Fillmore show in Nov 05, was TOTALLY a mixed bag - probably because of the filming for the DVD and the desire for more variety (? I can only guess). OR, maybe the Fillmore is just such a magical venue that they don't want to repeat stuff too much there... i kinda doubt that. But if you look at the setlists, there are at LEAST 12 different songs that were not duplicated from 11/11 to 11/12.

to compare.
Anyway it goes, it is guaranteed to be one of the best shows you will ever see!
