When I saw that MMJ was playing Louisvile on thanksgiving eve I made an immediate decision to drive up from Macon, Georgia to see the show. Me and a couple of buddies made the eight hour trek out of love for the band. The first time I saw MMJ was at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, and that show was one of the most amazing performances and concert experiences I have ever witnessed. But to see the band in their hometown was a true treat. The people were great and the city is beautiful. The band also gave it all they had as they poured every inch of soul into their hometown crowd. I did think the venue lacked intimacy, though. I would be anxious to hear what some of the other comparably sized venues look like in Louisville. I don't think concerts were meant to be heard in sporting arenas. Overall it was a great experience, though. Everyone that we met made our brief stay there enjoyable. A special thanks to the dancing santas. I hope to see more of you guys in the future. You make me happy. Thanks Louisville and thanks to the greatest rock band making music on this fine earth.
