Festival season is starting to shape up and I can't help but wonder if MMJ will be able to get back to NOLa between 4/27 and 5/8.

I've seen some absolutely unbelievably legendary shows during the festival over the last 9 years...late night Jacket at Tip's (or any venue other than HOB) would definitely fit into that category.

What a 10th anniversary fest that would be!  ;D

I only found my way to Jazz Fest in 96 but it was one hell of a time as well as a friendly place to be for a few days.
4 of us went down for Phish and the Allman Brothers and slept in a little mazda for 3 days... ahh, the good old days...

I have been to the past 2 Jazzfests and would love to see this happen.  I  have already begun to plan to go down this year and it would be even easier to decide wich weekend if MMJ were playing.

My life seems to revolve around the 2-weeks of Jazz Fest.   :)

You just cant beat great music at a festival all day, and then 4 or 5 night time shows 'til well past dawn, sleep a few hours and then do it all over again.   ;D  Oh, and that pheasant-quail-andouille gumbo doesn't suck either or the cochon du lait po boy...YUM!

A 2 am Jacket show would be soooo right.

Insert Homer Simpson druelling sound.

Just Saturday night, my friend made a big pot full of shrimp-andouille gumbo and it was mouthwatering.  Never had it with bird game but that sounds delicious!
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

I want to be friends with your friends.  :)

The gamey gumbo is made by Prejean's, I think.  It's in a very smoky dark roux...might just be the tastiest gumbo I've ever had.  Come to Jazz Fest so that you can try it!  ;)
