Salt Lake City - a lil' help

Alright, you guys have me FIRED UP after reading all the Fillmore reviews!!!

I'm looking forward to getting to see the boys in SLC. I know about the skiing in Utah, but know nothing about the city. Would love to meet up with some folks. Any recommendations on good bars? Would love to get a group of us freaks together pre-show. Anyone interested in drinking some beers pre-show? Anyone? We're coming from Atlanta and are ready to meet some of the Utah crew.

I hear you!! I am in CA keep the faith. I met my new friend Evonne in the front row on Friday show at the Fillmore. You will be fine. The show will be awsome.

Hi SteelyB,

My brother and I are heading down from Jackson Hole. Never seen the band but they are the motivation for the trip. A little skiing at Snowbird on Friday.

You have to work hard to have fun in Salt Lake do to the religious restrictions. There are some resturant bars downtown that could be a possibility.

Can't wait for the show and we would be happy to hook up but we will be getting there around 8:00ish.

Sorry, new here. I will be there! I will be shooting the first couple songs, then it is all about the fun ;)
Hpoefully I will get some good shots to share with you all. The Depot is a great venue! Great sound, good stage and good lighting. It is 2 levels and the upper is sort of a mezanine, main floor is a dance floor.

Where are you all staying? Believe it or not there are some fun bars in SLC....Most are "private clubs" but all that means is you have to buy a temporary membership for $2-5. Not a big deal, just the stupid laws we have here....Also the reason the Depot is a private club....Your ticket is you temp membersip. My favorite bars are Piper Down, the Republican (both Irish Pubs), Port-O-Call, and The Red Door. I also work the door Saturday night at a dueling piano bar called the Tavernacle....Fun place, but I am burned out on it.

Lots of good food to be found too. Let me know your $$ range and taste so I can make some suggestions.
