Sorry to point this out, but isn't "Seatle" spelled "Seattle"?

As the spelling police, I'll just give you a warning.  But in the future, careful with that misuse of a city's name.  Move along sir.

Damn Austrailia and Seatle all within 24 hours.  I need an editor.

I can tell you the crowd kinda sucked. I was in the 2nd row balcony and everyone sat down for the whole thing, which is hard for me to do. It looked like most people were just watching and not really getting into it, which I guess is cool too. I don't have the exact setlist, but there were no surprises. Similar to the sets they've been playing. Opened with It Beats 4 U, closed the main set with They Ran. For the encore, Jim did only one acoustic song by himself and then the whole band came out for Nashville to Kentucky. I think they ended the night with Anytime and Mahgeeta. Someone else on the floor might have snagged a setlist.

After seeing the Jacket only twice, I cannot really imagine sitting. Generally, I don't like sitting for shows but rather getting my freak on for whatever band I'm into enough to spend money one.

One bad thing though -- I'm short and my wife is shorter, and all too often, we end up hobbits stuck behind giants.

Setlist and review anyone?

The show was great. The biggest crowd they've played to in Seattle. The last 4 shows were at the Showbox, a Fillmore-type setting that holds about 1000 people. Last night they played The Moore Theater, which holds about 2200 and it was sold out.

The crowd was a tad different from previous crowds because is was all ages ( the Showbox is a 21 and over bar) and there was seating (no seats at the Showbox). Quite a few people I talked too had never seen them before but came because of the buzz about them. Definitely a mix of old and new fans!!

Because of the different setting a crowd, the crowd was not as rowdy and into the band as the last  4 shows. But it was cool seeing them in a theater-like setting with more people. Unfortunately, many people didn't know their songs and therefore were not as excited about hearing them as other shows.  For example, they played Steam Engine, a fan favorite, which drew few cheers compared to other shows I've seen and listened too.

Overall it was a great show though and good see Morning Jacket expand their audience.

thanks for the info. good to hear the comparison with the showbox. i've seen them there and love that venue, but i guess it's now too small.
Everyone has a photographic memory. Some don't have film.
