Quotei might have to try to make this one.  I've never seen the band outside of da ville but i've always wanted to see a show at red rocks and this would be tremendous!  hmm....

Ive been to Red Rocks on 2 seperate occasions.  Its something else.  I have been to a few shows in my day, but Red Rocks is AMAZING!!!!!

I would love to hear the jacket rock out red rocks!!!!!

QuoteWow, I bet the guys in the band are pretty excited about this one.  They are going to do some Last Waltz type shit at the end of that show, I just know it.

That would be cool, but when MMJ opened for Bob at Jillian's Parking Lot (even more spectacular than Red Rocks) in Louisville, they were quoted as saying they didn't even get to SEE Bob much less meet, greet or play with him.

Maybe Bobby will chill a little more this time around.  Even so, he put on a great show that night.

I will be there - I'm in Oklahoma now, but used to live in CO. Red Rocks is amazing, I've been waiting for the day that MMJ would play there. The only (minor!) drawback will be the short opening set, but hell, with Bob as the main act I can't complain and surely there will be some collaboration at some point! I'm so freekin psyched about this one!! We'll see y'all in the parking lot.

In case you didn't notice, they are also opening for Dylan on the following Saturday at Telluride.

Telluride Town Park in Telluride, Colorado
on Saturday, July 21st.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Totally psyched! It'll be interesting to see if Bob can follow... So, are we going to need a code for the pre-tickets tomorrow?

discobret

Can't wait to see MMJ at Red Rocks with Bob Dylan!!
;)

discobret

Yes, a pre-sale password appears to be needed from Dylan's tour dates page, as TM still only lists Dylan and not MMJ on their website.

CC

you can find the pre-sale info on dylan's tour page:

Quotei want to go to this so much it is ridiculous. times five.

i'll take a solo Jim show at the Rud anyday...(just trying to make myself feel better since i don't get to see dylan/mmj...stupid Colorado)
If you're lucky, MMJ will fill the void you didn't even know you ever had. If you're luckier, you'll get to see them live.

Crispy

Road trip peoples! Meet me in Oklahoma and we'll carpool - your employers should well understand why you'll be taking that week off...

Hey Crispy, enjoy that 6 hour stretch from Salina to Denver. Quantum leap that for sure.

Crispy

I-70, meh. I've driven that piece more times than I care to count. I like the scenic route of the OK panhandle and northern NM over to Trinidad if I'm not in a hurry. There's a stretch of hwy 3 in OK that's totally straight for over 100 miles, another quantum leap there.

Reverend ToneZone

How long do you think their set will be?  Anyone?
None of this is physical . . . at least not to me.

The pre-sale tickets suck BTW. 49th row for me...

mcarroll

Usually at Red Rocks, the first 25 rows are GA, 26-60 (or something like that) are reserved, then it is back to GA after that.  Get there early, and you'll be able to get really close, unless it is the very rare occasion where the first 25 rows aren't GA.

Crispy

The first 25 rows are GA at this show too - I'd anticipate a bit of a line before the gates open, but getting in below row 25 should be pretty easy. I've just got to convince my pals to go in early, usually we hang out in the parking lot too long.
