Man was it freakin hot. We got in just as Kings of Leon started. We got up about 20 yards from stage and could have gotten closer if we really wanted to. I thought they were a big letdown. I've never heard anythng by them, and I liked a couple of their songs immensely. But they had no stage prescence together at all. I don't even think they interacted together. And the drummer was out of his gourd. Anyway, who cares. I got to go to wrigley and see mmj destroy it. Only 2 things I noticed that they could have done better. 1) I think the cover should have come earlier, it was kind of a letdown after run through. Not that it wasn't freakin awesome, but they had actually got the pj fans going hard during run thru, and the energy from the crowd kind of dissipitated for the curtis cover. Second, they didn't lead a mutiny and keep playing all night. It was great to see them, I can't freakin wait for a new record.

I was on cloud 9 the entire set.  I finally made it up front for a show.  The pj fans next to me who weren't entirely familiar with mmj let me stand in front of them so i could see better.  I took so many pictures, but my camera isn't the greatest.

Jernigan...judging from your video shots, it looks like we were standing near one another.  I was the girl between kol and mmj holding up a green umbrella so my friends could find me.  Thanks for posting the videos.

mmj with an orchestra sounded more amazing than I would have ever dreamed.

am now binge viewing okonokos.  am gonna ride the high of this show as long as possible.  these non-tour seasons are tough to get through.   ;)

Yeah...I made so many new friends because of that umbrella!  That's so funny!  I hope they found you.  I'm also happy to know that there were actually some mmj fans in the vicinity.  At the time I felt like I was surrounded by pj fans and I was that girl who was way too into it ::)  Everyone was really cool though.
