QuoteThe Greek Theater - Berkeley CA (w/Black Keys)

Through the Live Nation rumor mill I have heard that this is a strong possibility.....  ;)

Yay!  2 nights?!
God damn those shaky knees.

Quote"I really want to see something at the Symphony Hall especially Jacket but besides that the Ryman is really the only other alternative.  City Hall and War Memorial would be nice if they could fit now, Sommet's too big and simply fuck the municipal.  Don't get me wrong obstructed views suck ass, sitting uncomfortably close to a stranger on a hard ass bench is not the coolest, and fantasizing about bitch slapping one of the golden girl ushers is..........well that's just fun.  Whenever I get down about the Ryman I just think of Hank playing his acoustic on that very stage or Jim opening with Nashville to Kentucky and remember that it IS the Ryman and us middle tennesseans are pretty f'ing lucky."

I agree with all this.  With City Hall closing, somebody at the War Memorial Auditorium needs to get off their lazy ass and start booking shows.  It's a great venue, and we need more mid-size venues around here.

I LOVE the Ryman.  The ushers are completely clueless, but I don't let them ruin my good time.

You're right...with it being a few weeks since my last show there my frustration has lifted and I'd love to see them rock it.  I saw Crosby and Nash at War Memorial and that place is spectacular.  I couldn't stop thinking about how badass it COULD be if TPAC didn't run it.  eeeeeeeehhhh. :P Still, that wouldn't stop the music.
So soon after payday, know it seemed a shame!

When did City Hall close?  I had no idea!

I loved seeing MMJ there.

As far as where I would like to see them play here in good ole Nashville.  I live out by the YMCA camp Widjiwagon.  There is a killer little outdoor Ampitheater there that would just be amazing.  One problem is there can be no alcohol and it would be run by the YMCA.  So I guess thats out.  The next best option will have to be Riverfront Park in downtown Nashville.  That would be great!

I think they'll play Thomas Wolfe in Asheville.  If not that, then 2 nights at the Orange Peel sounds about right.

They just announced it last week.  It will be closing in September.  At least they're replacing it with something we really need....Urban Outfitters!  THANK GOD!

The guys who run it say they will start a new club somewhere else, but who knows how long that will take?

Let's see, the last couple times they came around Los Angelees they played the House of Blues and the Wiltern.  I'd love to see them at the Wiltern again, but I bet they'd need a bigger venue this time around.  I guessing the Greek.  It'd be awesome if they played there, I'd love to see them outdoors here in LA.
None of this is physical . . . at least not to me.
