Quotemaybe i'm wrong about kanye. i've never been to bonnaroo but i know for a fact pj is saturday and widespread is sunday. from that i figured metallica for friday leaving thursday for kanye. didn't know they did more than one headliner for a night.

they normally don't put a huge act on thursday, right?  i remember a couple years ago seeing STS9---maybe sigur ros this year? i think it was les claypool and that really annoying singer he toured with one year in 05'? no way kanye is playing thurs...
RACHEL YAMAGATA and that stuff blew.  Electric Eel Shock was the best thursday show I've ever seen.

oh no...i remember! it was gabby la la...OMG..WTH was that? rachel yamagata's not that bad, i remember seeing her play a bunch of shows in NYC before she blew up---kind of annoying but her songwriting is getting better i think. she opened for tom mcrae on one of his NY tours 3/4 years ago...i didn't know she played w/les
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

I am sooooooo glad to have been wrong about a few things. So, we skip Metallica for the MMJ campout by Which Stage. No need to skip Pearl Jam.

Deep breath.

Ha, Gabby was a sweethheart though! I was talking to her in '05 for like a half hour. But yes, her music isn't all that great.  ;D

That'd be pretty awesome. I was wondering, when exactly does the VIP party go on? I know it's thursday, but is it late night? It sounds awesome, with the free beer and the band playing just for the vip peeps (esp if it's ben), but if there is another band I'd rather see outside of vip when that goes on, that would suck.

just a heads up to anyone going...who is also a PJ fan

Harrybu McCage includes Matt Cameron

Being the only act not hailing from New Orleans to grace the "Somethin' Else New Orleans" stage is not lost on Harrybu McCage drummer and Seattleite Matt Cameron, who knows a thing or two about playing in a musically competitive city.

"It's an absolute honor to be playing on the same stage with such amazing musicians who are the best of what they do. New Orleans musicians have always been held to higher standards," said the Pearl Jam drummer. "It's where the beat comes from."

Harrybu McCage is the jazz project Cameron formed with keyboardist Ryan Burns and bassist Geoff Harper (Herbie Hancock, Bill Frisell). The trio will perform original and Thelonious Monk inspired jazz all the while doing the roots of traditional New Orleans music proud.

you can wander in and out of the VIP area---so if you don't like the band playing in the VIP tent you can go check out the band playing elsewhere....i think in 06 it was rebirth brass band playing in VIP (could be wrong) and then i remember walking over and seeing STS9--i think in 05 les claypool played the first night

For the record I am going to be upset if they don't cover a quick one while he's away, vedder is going to be there.
Without MMJ my state of Kentucky would only have horses, whiskey, tobacco, and weed, so thank you..

Anyone know if they will be on Blue Room for us less then fortunate enough to go? If someone has already said yes, I missed it. Blue Room doesn't have their schedule up that I could find either.

If they are, who's in for a listening party like 2 years ago
