Pardon me if this has already been discussed, but does anyone have a clue on who the opener(s) are gonna be for this year's tour?  No one posted who opened tonight at RCMH...did they have anyone?

The RCMH show was an "Evening with My Morning Jacket," meaning that the entire evening is devoted to the band. I know many of the shows for the upcoming tour are "Evening" shows, but I'm not sure if they all are. That said, all evening shows will go pretty much opener-less.

It'd be cool if they'd return the favor given to them by so many greats that helped them along, but I also understand getting to headline a venue and have it all to yourself for the first time ever. So that's very cool that they get to indulge in that, and I can't wait  to see what they can do because of it. That said, they've got the ability to really help out the bands they love in the future, and it'd be really cool to see them capitalize on that.

....if you havent heard Fleet Foxes, I think they would be a great opener because they have the same vibe as really early Jacket.....and they are incredible live, their harmonies are insane......

Good Lord have I heard Fleet Foxes. They are such incredibly beautiful music.

Unfortunately, I think some bad blood would be stirred up with people thinking they are "ripping off the Jacket". It's a familar sound, yeah, but not a rip off, I wouldn't say.

The Europe leg of the tour is going to have a band called Everest opening. From what I've heard, they're a pretty cool band.

....when I have played Fleet Foxes before people have said they sound like MMJ, but they really don't, they just come from the same vein of music as the Jacket.....the vocals are similar but if you can pull it off, kudos to you....
