QuoteWTF?  I get so tired of this.   They "switch it up" more than 95% of all the bands out there, yet somebody still always complains.   The album has been out for less than a month for crying out loud.  Let 'em play it a bit.

Let's say tonight they do a setlist consisting of 4 Tennesse Fire songs and 4 At Dawn songs at the expense of 8 Z/Evil Urges songs.   Well let me tell ya, watch the fuck out for all of the complaints the band would get for not playing the new stuff.  You just can't win.

Seriously though, I would like someone to name a band that has been around less than ten years that has a more diverse setlist night by night.  I'm sure there are some, but I want a list.

Oxxys, I'm not jumping your case specifically, I just don't get it.

I can name a lot more than 1:

Widespread Panic
Ween
Phil Lesh & Friends
Dave Matthews Band
Phish and all related side projects
STS9
Radiohead

etc, etc, etc....

I love MMJ as much as the next guy/gal, but they could seriously learn a lesson or two about REALLY learning to switch up there setlists, thereby  keeping the shows fresh, and keeping there fans excited.

QuoteAll I know is that in 2006 they played every song on all four of their albums except 7.  Plus they also played Tonight I Want 2 Celebrate, O Is The One, Cobra, Sooner, Sweetheart and I Can't Wait.  Plus they played eleven different covers.   That's a total of 60 different songs.

I know this because I'm in the cult.

Oh, and Radiohead has been around 28 years, Phish 25 years, Ween 23 years, Widespread 22 years, DMB 17 years, and I think Phil has quite a few years of material to choose from.  I've not yet heard of etc, etc, etc but I very intersted in checking them out.

So, at this point we have STS9.  Any others?

STS9 IS THE SHIT!!!!!!!

Yup, it's the same thing as the Z/Okonokos tour: standard setlist at the beginning and loosen it up as the tour goes along.
