QuoteI'm hoping to go to the Louisville show, but I won't be able to get the tickets for another couple of days. I've got my fingers crossed they won't run out. I'm from London, England and will be at the London show on Wednesday. However, I just happen to be in the US travelling next month and decided that seeing MMJ in their hometown would be too much to pass up. If it sells out before I manage to get tickets I could try for the Nashville show the day before, but it wouldn't quite be the same...  :-/
I dont think it will sell out Ringo. I exchanged emails with one of the venue organizers and she said the place holds 25,000 people. She said they arent selling that many tickets, probably around 8 thousand so everyone gets a good seat. She said there are still quite a few tickets left last time she heard. Good luck!
Say friend, you got any more of that good sasparilla?

Ringo

Cheers for that. Let's hope. I'd be absolutely gutted if they ran out.

Hey J Rud.  You say seats, do you just mean "spots" or do you know know if there are actual seats.  Thanks.

I did mean "spots", I should have differentiated. It is all general admission.

if i get my economic stimulus check in time, i may make the last minute call for this trip :-) they said 6 weeks...(which i guess on IRS time, it's 2 years?) not sure.  i REALLY want to see the hometown show....
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

If you filed electronically, it will get directly deposited into the bank account you used for that, and they're usually pretty quick about it...
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

i did and i was one of the first filers, too--it's just because i had my filing fees taken out of my return--that i got put in w/the paper filers! oi.....i should have had it by now. at least i got the letter, that's more than some people...once again, i checked flights to louisville, though---and they're all over 400 bucks...we'll see! fingers crossed

JRUD, I am planning to come down to the Philly show at Festival Pier. How is that venue? I assume it is out doors? I live in NYC, so it is a pretty short trip but we are planning to spend the night. Any recommendations or bars or hotels in the area? I was at the Radio City show and am going to MSG on NYE but I could wait that long to see MMJ again. Especially when they are only a 2 hour drive away. I might even hit up the show in DC a couple of days before and work my way back for the Philly Jam. Can't waite!

The Hyatt Regency and The Comfort Inn Downtown/Historic Area are both very close (walking distance) to the Pier. The Hyatt is pricier but very nice. Its also close to some nice waterfront bars.

The venue is alright, nothing special. Its often referred to "a parking lot with a stage" as if thats some sort of knock on the place. Isnt just about every outdoor venue a parking lot with a stage?
