I know there's tons of you guys coming in to see the band on their home turf so a few of us were thinking of organizing a meet up location to "beer-up" before the show. Any of the other locals have suggestions? I was thinking Brownings because it's right there and i be loving their beers...

I was also thinking about kicking in background style at the show and not fighting for the front. (I think I will be getting a photo pass for a little bit so I will get all the goodie good shots I want to and then relax and forget about photography) Hell, I'm probably going to bring a chair because it's such a nice park to just sit and listen to music.
Thus, the background Louisville Jacket lounge will be in full effect for folks to stop by and say hello and what have you.

I'm sleepy now, time for sleepy time.

I like the idea of meeting before the show, and Brownings is as good as any.  It's a short walk to the Park, too.  However, there are several people going (from different groups) who want to know where I'm gonna be and when I'm going, so I don't know if I have to entertain them somewhere else or If I can convince them that they can take care of themselves or what.

I definitely like the idea of hanging back for the show.  Other than catching a pick, or getting a setlist (which are unlikely), what's the point of being front row (unless you have a camera)?  You have to get there early, and fight with people for positioning.  When you've seen a band X amount of times, you are clearly there for the music anyway, so why not hang back in a comfort zone, and enjoy it all.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling guys - Brownings looks great! And I could go for a further back, more relaxed viewing area as well - since I do plan to be front and center at Red Rocks.

I am coming up pretty early and I think Brownings is a great idea.  It will be so close to the Park.

I plan on staying in the back of the Park and taking it all in.  This was my idea for my group, I got mixed responce.  I will be at the Nashville show the night prior and I know how much of a headache that show is going to be.  Riverfront park can be a major pain in the ass!!!!

I hope to meet some of you guys from the board at these 2 shows.

I got my Nashville ticket and will be driving down the day before for that. Love Dog, I need to PM you but you're more than welcome in the car with us. It'll just be three total but thats three ways to split the gas!

Sounds good to me.  I sure wouldn't mind meeting some of you fine peeps.  I'll definitely be hanging back.  My wife and I are planning on taking chairs as well.  I'm sure I'll be standing the majority (if not all) of the time, but it'll be nice to have.

Anyone have a good guess at the time MMJ might take the stage?  Production Simple has the gates opening at 6:30 with the show starting at 8:00.  Does this mean the Leopard Percussionists at 8:00 with MMJ to follow?  If so, do we expect the boys to blow it out for 3-4 hours?  Any noise ordinances in the area that would forbid them from playing past a certain time?
It doesn't really matter in the grand scheme, but I mistakenly booked our family vacation to start the following day, and now there's a chance my wife and I will have to do some driving after the show.  I'm just trying to get somewhat of a read on things should we have to bolt Louisville after MMJ's set.  Thanks for any input.

I'm guessing MMJ will roll in @ 9 pm and play until midnight.  3 hours...as promised!  ;)

Can't wait to try the Browning's IPA and me and the wife will be kickin' it in the back. Still not sure about blankets or chairs yet. Blankets would be alot easier to deal with.

Thanks, Love Dog.  That's kind of what I was expecting.  Can't wait for that night!

Ive got an EVIL plan babe

I'll be at the show with non-forum members.  I will try to find yall and at least say hello.
Just cause it starts off slow babe, doesn't mean I  don't have evil urges.

I am taking my younger sister with me. She's 20, and has never been to a MMJ show! She's getting really excited!

20, huh?  Well, well, well!  She should definitely find us, then.  ;)          Just kidding.  :)  Does she know how much fun she's going to have?  Does she realize the magnitude in which her life will change?  I didn't until I saw them for the first time!  You guys have fun.

I told her to be prepared for an awesome show. I've gotten her into MMJ, so she's really excited about seeing them live.

And since she's 20, I have a DD. Well, not that that matters b/c we'll probably just walk to the hotel.

But... seriously. I am looking forward to seeing y'all again!
