FYI For everyone Coming to Nashville

 I was talking with a friend the other day about his beloved Tennessee Titans and it was brought to my attention that they have a home game on the night of Friday Aug 15th @ 7PM.

I was shocked to find this out!!!! >:(

So just to let everyone know that is coming from out of town.....

TRAFFIC IS GOING TO BE HELL!!!!!!!!!

So leave in plenty of time to get there and find a parking spot!  

FINDING A PARKING SPOT WILL NOT BE EASY!!!!!

So I hope that this is a helpful bit of information for everyone

Wow. Parking is gonna be a bitch for that. You may want to get down there super-early. I went to my first Titans game last year and had to park across the river and walk across the bridge to the stadium.... I have bad feet, so that wasn't very pleasant. Seems like we parked pretty close to the spots that would be convenient for folks trying to get to the MMJ show.

On the upside, that will be a pre-season game, so maybe the attendance won't be all that great, so maybe parking won't be THAT bad.

that's going to suck way bad. The Titans usually sell out pre season b/c it's the only game(s) that some can get tickets for. But, I'm sure Jim will have some nice comments for the game going on over his shoulder across the river...

I really didnt even think about the fact that the game is going to be going on directly behind the band!  Wow this is going to make for an interesting evening in good ole Nash!

Thanks for the heads up.  It probably won't change my plans cause I can only leave after work, but at least I won't get as frustrated when I can't find a parking spot.

How ironic.  One summer day in Nashville will have one of the most exciting events and one of the most worthless events (preseason football is awful) happening at the same time.   And the crazy thing is, the worthless event will have almost ten times as many people attending.

Being from Nashville I can tell you that downtown Nashville will be rocking good time!  People love them Titans!  So downtown will be PACKED!  I am going to do some more research and see if I cant find some good happy hours for everyone.

...no it doesn't.  It's hella fun going to pre season football games.  All the die hard fans have been locked up all off season waiting for a glimpse at the field, waiting to be apart Titan football again.  Pre season football is a time for everyone to come together, talk football, dream of the season ahead, get drunk and eat good food.  Preseason football is hella fun in my book.  even with that said this equation still stands in my book.

I had Rams Season tickets for eleven years and it always pissed me off that they charged full price for these shitty ass games.  Plus, they are always on Friday nights, therefore you miss out on all of the tailgaiting (the best part).  The starters play for like 5-10 plays.  Just all around crap.  IMO.

I'm going to an Eagles preseason game on the 28th. I got tickets because I still haven't been to the stadium and my girlfriend has always wanted to go to a game. Preseason is the only thing I can afford on my college student budget.

The game should end around 10-10:30....so yeah getting out of the concert is also going to be a mess.....well rumor has it that MMJ has the stage till midnight...so this could really help out with the traffic

Just wanted to remind everyone that traffic and parking is going to be HELL tonight in Nashville.  

So please allow your self plenty of time to get to Downtown Nashville...I dont want anyone from this board to miss getting their faces rocked off!!!!

I promised a listing of happy hours in the downtown area....well there isnt any!!  

I for one will be tail-gating by the capitol building until its time for some food and then its off to a bar/sbaro for some grub!

I hope to meet up with some of you tomorrow night in Louisville!
