QuoteErr?  When did Jim play bass?

Nice spot!  Got a capo too.  Trying to figure out where he would bust that out.  Sure one of the vets in this forum could answer that.

Two Halves

Capo on 10!?!?

I knew this show was going to be special when, as we were waiting for the light to change at Peachtree and Ponce de Leon before the show, we noticed Amy Ray (Indigo Girls) right next to us fixin' to get her Jacket on.   My wife is ga ga for the Girls.

The crowd was indeed great.   What is it about this band that brings out only chill people.

My buddy was a newbie and after they played their Off The Record jam, he just looked at me with the WTF expression.   I said, "they're just getting warmed up".

Off The Record jam is the shit.  That is becoming one of my favorite live songs.   That riff just makes me want to go fucking bananas.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

dondonte was the highlight for me.  and run thru when patrick was doing the "robot moves" under the strobe lights.

Hey all-- just listened to the Fox "Dondante"  (it's up on Archive as someone else mentioned) and I'm curious to see what you think.

I've been wanting them to jam it out and it certainly sounds like they were experimenting with it quite a bit that night. . . what do you think? Are they on the right track??
Because if there's one thing that goes well with shooting zombies it's a Dolly Parton cover-el chode

Holy crap you are right!  I noticed a few small changes recently but that is the biggest Dondante departure since the Fela Kuti version they used to do in '06.   I love it!  I'm always for mixing shit up and that is certainly mixing shit up!  Thanks for the heads up!

That sax outro is the sickness. Yea I was in the 10th row and I noticed  the robot moves.  I have asked a few of my friends that were there and none of them saw it, weird.  Pretty cool though.

Gotta check it out!!! (right now)  Personally I thought the Stubb's version was kind of a changeup also but maybe I'm mistaken and Fox will take the cake.

It def has evolved from the Waterfront and on!

AND YES, we'll get Evelyn in DC.  We have no choice

Seriously....I still hear a slight ringing in my ears. For some reason I have grown fond it.

The show was abosolutely sublime.
I saw them at Bonnaroo 2004 and thought that no show would ever top it. Jacket at the Fox was the best live show I have ever seen. Period. I have been to hundreds of shows and I honestly can not think of any show that compares.

The venue, the fans, and the ushers, added to the greatness.

Does anyone know if there are any other videos from the shows floating around out there?

The show was awesome. Was fortunate enough to bump into Brian before we found our seat up in the clouds... The venue was beautiful, the sound was good - I have a new appreciation for the light show and the band's dance moves. All of the guys were on point. The bear was kind of shy, but still very awesome.

I want to be back there, right now.

That was the single most amazing concert of my life. They top the Strokes, the shins, modest mouse...everybody! I've been in a continuous  state of euphoria since then.

The Shins
Modest Mouse
The Mars Volta

Absolutely amazing show. We were third row loge and it took a little awhile for everyone to get into it. Not that MMJ doesn't have the energy - it just takes a bit for 5000 people to get completely locked in. Things really took off after War Begun, which was just fantastic. After that, there was no going back. It was great watching the pit from above. I'm not exaggerating when I say that my ears still ring when I'm in a quiet room. That was my 4th show and I need more. Now.

I added a few videos on You Tube:
