Just booked our hotel last night. Going to be staying at the Galt house. Me and a few buddies are going to be driving up from Birmingham on Friday. hope to see some of you fine people there.

preshow at Brownings in the front of slugger field. I think a bunch of us will be camped out in the rear of the field at the show to have some dancing room!

You should work for yahoo directions.Your directions are much simpler.Yahoo had me turning several times and I could tell from the map there was a simpler way to walk.Hell,I'd walk ten blocks in the pouring rain for this gig but hopefully it doesn't come to that.

i'm sure i am speaking for quite a few people on here when i say that i have walked ten blocks (more like 2 miles) in the pouring rain back to my campsite after the bonnaroo show...and seeing the best live show ever was definitely worth every miserable step i took at 4:30 in the morning.

Would any of you locals, or anyone that has been there for that matter, recommend the Louisville Slugger Museum?

I took my son to the museum and factory last month.He's ten and a big fan of baseball so he loved it.He got to touch some of the bats they'd already made for Albert Pujols,A-Rod,and a few others.You can also have a Louisville Slugger personalized with your name while you tour the museum although they're a little pricey.The cost of admission was very reasonable and I'd say it's worth a visit while you're already in The Ville.

Anyone know a reasonably priced place to stay near the show?  Cheap hotel/motel or better yet, a hostel?
Just booked a plane ticket today after I found the show wasn't sold out, and I realized I had the weekend off!  Been wanting to go to Louisville for a while now, and here's the chance! I'M PUMPED! ;D

not planning on nashville.   :-/  august is a bit busy at work.  i bought a red-eye flight that will get me to louisville sat. morning.  man, if that ticket was at all easy to change, i would be angling to get to nashville, too.  ;)

ha ha...you have me pegged LD--i can't afford the 600 for hotel and flight--the stimulus check did not stimulate enough--!! i'm also trying to figure out whether to do a philly-boston combo--then again, they're NOT going to play covers in philly or boston--oh god. why am i tormenting myself? i should be happy w/the ROO ;-) i wish i had a car and gas was cheap--i was i was a little bit taller, i wish i was a baller--eh enough. why did i think flights would go down--? ha ha
