Hey Rccola, you know that the tickets for this were a cool $500?

I'd probably want my money back too...

I can see this...but if you have the cash to put down for this type of thing...and isn't it for the campaign instead of individual gain. I understand it's kinda like showing up for a dinner without the entree' but don't forget what it's all for....

Seeing as the show didn't take place I would say it's more like showing up for a dinner & getting nothing  ;)

I understand your point but feel that it should be up to the individual.

A refund should be offered/given & then anyone who has bought a ticket has the option to donate some, or all, of the money if they want to...but that's just my point of view  :)

I believe that an email went out stating that we'd be getting a refund ($100, not $500 a ticket) for the Chicago show but I've not yet received a refund.

Bottom line, I paid to see Jim and the show didn't happen.  The Obama people should return my money and if I want to turn around and donate the money back to the campaign, that is my perogative.

I'm sure I read they were $500 here somewhere...sorry, my bad  :(

That's kinda where I am.  I would like to have donated to the Obama fund anyway, but not $200...I don't have it.  The reason I committed to that is because my lady and I wanted to go to Chicago and see Jim at a fantastic venue.  I did not get to see Jim, but I didn't realize it until I got to the fantastic venue.   :-/

Keep in mind, though that the show was cancelled not quite two weeks ago, so I'd say there's no reason to get impatient until the four week mark at least.

Yeah, I don't mind putting at least some $ towards the Obama fund but I did shell out $300, so I'd at least like $200+ of that back at some point.
Guess it is to early to be expecting when this is a very busy time for them...

Refunds have been given back as of this A.M.
