hi all

massive fan of the band but first-time poster... i am trying to track down the music that was on a loop before the band came on at their london forum show in july this year. it was the same song over and over and consisted of a humming motif, first low, then higher, then taken over by a spanish-sounding guitar. i'm not talking about the music they played to actually walk on to as that's the moondog track that's since been sampled. i'm guessing it was used a lot on the tour as it's pretty unusual for just one song to be played on a loop for 20 minutes!

any help gratefully received, it was a really cool song and i'd love to track it down!

thanks,

john

hello. they played it at glasto too. i think its some song thats on the darjeeling limited soundtrack if that helps

It a song by Shankar Jaikishan from the  Wes Anderson movie "Darjeeling Limited".  On amazon they list the song title as "Title Music From Merchant Ivory's Film Bombay Talkie".  So you can preview the music and release any angst your ears have for not hearing the song for a while here's a link to amazon.
